College is just the beginning of a life-long adventure of self-exploration, along the way, the search for your identity rears it’s mysterious head, challenging you to find it. Some people are born to contribute certain things to the world. Michelangelo breathed colorful life on to the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, and J.K Rowling restored childrens passion to read with her whimsical stories about a boy wizard. It’s okay if you’re not sure what life intends for you, most don’t, but to always be thinking and passionately seeking the goals you’ve set of yourself shows you want to someday be the person you’ve always dreamed you would be.
I have just finished this journey through college, and have received my Bachelor's degree in Communications and Advertising. I feel more ready than ever to jump head first into the dynamic, creative world of advertising. For as long as I can remember, I’ve approached life with a “theater of the mind” like style. My creativity and ability to establish big ideas through the written word has propelled me to academic success that, with hope, will translate into the real world. The Communications program at Salem State has equipped me with the knowledge and skills spanning the likes of copyrighting, graphic design, research methods and how social media is being implemented as a key ingredient into businesses marketing strategies.
“I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities.” - Dr. Seuss.
